I like your idea with the "A" action. I already have a prototype on the dashboard branch - you can check it out if you want.

This feature will land on the main branch along with the dashboard and a huge upcoming plugin refactor. It will still take quite some time to finish, but you can already try it if you're interested—just be prepared for a lot of bugs
